The 2023 Wally 48X is a 48-foot express cruiser built on a deep-V hull engineered by Wally and the Ferretti Group. Powered by four Mercury Verado 450R engines totaling 1,800 horsepower, the boat reaches speeds above 50 knots and cruises at 40 knots with a range of approximately 300 miles. The hull design delivers offshore stability and a shallow draft suited to coastal and shallow-water cruising.
The layout centers on a walkaround console with an open cockpit and generous hardtop. Aft, fold-down wings expand the deck space, while the cockpit features large sunpads forward and aft, a dining table with seating, and a wetbar with refrigerator. A retractable bathing ladder and passerelle are integrated between the outboards for water access.
The cabin is accessed via carbon fiber steps and includes a forward double V-berth, sofa seating, an enclosed head with shower, air conditioning, and storage throughout. Teak decks and a foldable table complete the main deck, with exterior cushions and custom headrest sunpad pillows.
Equipment includes Mercury Axius joystick steering with power assist, an 11-kilowatt Kohler diesel generator, a Seakeeper 6 stabilization system, Humphree trim tabs, Simrad electronics, and a Fusion stereo with JL Audio amplification and speakers. Underwater lights, fresh and raw water washdowns, and folding terrace doors port and starboard are also fitted.
