The Eelex 8000 is a 26-foot electric center console built by X Shore in Sweden. Powered by a single Brusa electric motor, it reaches a maximum speed of 30 knots and cruises at 20 knots. The hull is constructed from flax fabric and recycled PET, while the deck features cork. A 120 kWh battery provides a range of approximately 100 nautical miles and charges from empty to full in under two and a half hours using DC fast charging.
The boat's design is minimalist and modular, with an open layout that accommodates various configurations. The flexible interior can be rearranged for different uses—watersports, diving, fishing, or social gathering. Generous seating areas and open deck space suit entertaining. A carbon fiber roof with integrated strut and rail systems can secure loads up to 800 kilograms, allowing transport of kayaks, mountain bikes, dive equipment, or additional passengers.
The Eelex 8000 is equipped with an integrated Sea Lab system that collects environmental data from the water, measuring parameters such as pH and oxygen levels. Operating an electric motor eliminates engine fumes and noise while significantly reducing carbon output compared to conventional engines. The boat was tested extensively in Swedish waters and is designed to handle rough conditions including high winds, heavy rain, and substantial waves.
