The 2024 Arkhaus Villa 50 is a 50-foot solar-electric catamaran with fiberglass composite hulls, designed by Dutch architect Waterstudio NL. A hydraulic elevation system lifts the entire yacht completely out of the water, creating an exceptionally stable platform while reducing hull exposure and maintenance. The beam extends from 18 feet to 34 feet when the hydraulic terraces deploy, opening over 1,000 square feet of open-air deck space.
The interior comprises 615 square feet of climate-controlled living space on the lower deck, with an additional 615 square feet of rooftop entertaining area. The main deck is configured as a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom residence with full shower and outdoor shower. The upper deck functions as a dedicated summer lounge with a built-in summer kitchen featuring an electric grill, sink, and icemaker. Electric roll-down enclosures allow seasonal weather protection. Interior cabinetry is by Häcker, and the galley includes a Miele cooktop, dual Miele refrigerators, Hobart commercial dishwasher, and custom island.
Power comes from two 80 hp Azimuth electric pod drives and a 10 kW bow thruster. A 12 kW rooftop solar array charges a 75 kWh lithium battery bank, with generator and shore power systems integrated for operational flexibility. The yacht cruises at 6 knots and achieves 8 knots at top speed. At 4 knots, solar generation fully offsets propulsion consumption. Shore power and generator systems provide additional operating options.
Equipment includes an 8-zone Sonos audio system with 14 speakers and dual subwoofers, a 4-camera Lorex wireless security system, 3-zone air conditioning, full-length fendering for safe rafting, and onboard Verizon Wi-Fi connectivity. The boat was bottom painted for minimal marine buildup. Approximately one year old and professionally maintained.
