2024 Bavaria C42

The 2024 Bavaria C42 is a modern cruising yacht built in fiberglass with clean, contemporary lines developed by Cossutti Yacht Design. At just under 40 feet in length, it balances performance and seaworthiness with practical comfort for extended cruising. The boat is powered by a 57 horsepower Yanmar diesel engine paired with a folding propeller for efficient power delivery and versatile sailing characteristics.

Below deck, the layout features three cabins and two heads with electric toilets fed by fresh water. The owner's cabin includes an ensuite bathroom with shower, while an additional double berth cabin provides extra sleeping space. The main saloon is bright and well-appointed with ambient lighting, mirrors, and a manually adjustable table that converts into a double berth. A 4-kilowatt Webasto diesel heater serves all living spaces, while 415 liters of fresh water capacity—split between two tanks—ensures comfortable autonomy. A 110-liter refrigerator and full galley support extended voyages.

Navigation and boat systems are equipped to high standards. The electronics package includes a Raymarine B&G Zeus3 9-inch multifunction display with integrated Wi-Fi, DST800 depth and speed transducer, two Triton² repeater screens, B&G Wind Vane, and an autopilot with wireless remote. Additional power comes from multiple AGM batteries totaling 360 amperes of service capacity, supported by a 60-amp charger. An electric bow thruster with dedicated battery aids maneuvering. Deck hardware is comprehensive, including a Selden roller-furling mast with two levels of spreaders, electric primary winches, and a GRP boom extension that allows for Code 0 or Code D sails if desired. The boat carries a full suit of Elvstrom sails and is configured with the SailReady package, which includes an electric windlass, 16-kilogram anchor, 75 meters of chain, and mooring gear.

Comfort and safety features include a large NV Equipment roof canopy, teak detailing on cockpit sole and swim platform, a manually operated swim platform, and hot and cold pressure water from a 20-liter calorifier. The boat is supplied with a complete inshore six-person safety armament. All systems are new and have not been launched.
