The 2024 Contender 28 Tournament is a center console built on a fiberglass hull, powered by twin Mercury 300 Verado engines with just 80 hours on them. The boat runs 28 feet long with an 8-foot-10-inch beam, designed for serious fishing and offshore work. A Load Rite trailer is included with the purchase.
Navigation and electronics are comprehensive: dual Garmin GPSMap 8612xsv displays, Mercury Vessel View integration, Fusion MS-RA770 head unit, Icom VHF radio, and JL Audio throughout. Trim control comes from Bennett trim tabs, and the boat carries Taco outrigger bases with carbon fiber outriggers.
Fish-handling capability is substantial. The boat features a 40-gallon transom livewell, two 76-gallon rear fish boxes with macerator pumps, and a 140-gallon forward fish box. Wash-down systems include both fresh and raw water. Additional features include full curtains with gull wings, an onboard charger, and a lightbar. The 100-hour service has just been completed, and the factory warranty runs through July 2029.
