The 2024 Contender 39 ST is a center console fishing boat powered by triple Mercury 400 V10 engines delivering 1,200 total horsepower. The boat reaches speeds of 71 mph and cruises at 45 mph, with a 500-gallon fuel capacity. Built from fiberglass, it measures 39 feet in length with a 10.83-foot beam and represents the manufacturer's latest design for serious fishing applications.
The boat is outfitted with extensive electronics and navigation equipment including twin Raymarine 19-inch Axiom 2 displays, a Raymarine 12KW open array radar, autopilot, and twin VHF radios. A Mercury 7-inch Vessel View display rounds out the helm setup. Night vision capability is provided by a Sionyx system. The fishing platform includes Gemlux outriggers with carbon fiber poles, an electric-lift coffin box, an electric-slide cooler, and four electric reel outlets positioned throughout the boat.
Creature comforts and ambiance are handled by a 15,000-dollar sound system featuring Fusion stereo, JL speakers and amplifiers with four subwoofers and eight speakers. Lighting is comprehensive: an underwater Lumitec razor light bar, bow and aft spreader lights, courtesy lights, bilge lights, and livewell lights. The deck is covered with Sea Deck non-slip material on the floor, stern, and gunnels. An M-Series leaning post provides seating at the helm.
The three Mercury engines have logged 310 hours, with factory service completed at 280 hours. Engine warranty runs through July 26, 2028. Most operating hours are trolling or cruising rather than high-rpm running.
