The 2024 Elan Impression 43 is a modern cruising sailboat designed by Humphreys Yacht Design with styling by Pininfarina. The hull employs Elan's 3D VAIL composite construction—a vacuum-assisted infusion lamination process that produces a light, stiff structure without voids or air bubbles. The outer layer uses vinyl ester resin for osmosis resistance. The wide beam of nearly 14 feet combined with a raised coach roof, or semi-deck-saloon, delivers generous interior volume while maintaining the proportions favored by the design team. The sail plan and hull are optimized for short-handed sailing.
The three-cabin layout includes two heads and accommodates cruising crews comfortably. The boat is fully equipped with a 10 kW generator, air conditioning, diesel heating, four power winches, bow thruster, Permateak decks, and complete Garmin electronics. Custom canvas is included.
A single Yanmar diesel engine powers the yacht. The fiberglass hull is finished throughout in keeping with contemporary Elan standards.
