The 2024 Freeman 42 is a center console built for open water performance and fishing capability. Twin-hull construction in fiberglass supports four Mercury V10 engines producing 1,600 horsepower, delivering a top speed of 78 knots and a cruising speed of 50 knots. The boat has accumulated 450 hours.
The helm and tower carry extensive electronics: dual 24-inch Simrad MFDs, a 12-inch Simrad display in the tower, six-foot Simrad open array radar, Simrad autopilot, and dual Icom VHF radios. Navigation and comfort features include a windlass, Edson black steering wheel, and Sionix night vision system. A tower with full controls and Marsh Tacky carbon fiber outriggers support the fishing layout.
Seating spans the deck with six captain's chairs in a double row, a forward lounger with rod holders on both sides, and a rear-facing seat with cooler boxes underneath. Entertainment comes from a Fusion stereo head unit with Bluetooth and a substantial JL Audio sound system. One head is located in the console.
The boat is equipped throughout with aesthetic and functional upgrades: a hardtop with multi-color lighting, spreader lights, undergunwale lights, and underwater lighting. A large LED light bar, teak rocket launcher, and extra rod racks complete the fishing-ready setup. The deck carries a Deckit non-skid package. Hull sides and hardtop underside feature Haze Gray, with additional black powder coating on structural elements.
