2024 Herley 11 Explorer

The Herley 11 Explorer is a 36-foot welded aluminum sport boat built for serious coastal work and extended cruising. Powered by twin Mercury 400 hp V10 Verado outboards with joystick control at both the main helm and aft cockpit helm, it reaches 48 knots and cruises comfortably at 30 knots. The plumb bow design cuts through waves smoothly and enhances stability, making it equally at home in Puget Sound or Alaska's open waters.

The interior accommodates four adults with a forward vee berth, mid berth, and convertible dinette in the salon. A single head serves the two-cabin layout. The boat is extensively equipped for fishing and navigation: four Garmin multifunction displays including two 16-inch screens at the helm, a 12-inch navigator display at the port forward seat, and an overhead display for the forward cockpit; Garmin 18-inch closed dome radar; autopilot controls at both helms; GPS chartplotter with AIS; depth sounder and fishfinder with high-powered transducer; wind anemometer; and infrared night vision camera. Communication includes an Icom VHF radio plus a Vesper VHF backup.

Stability and comfort systems include a Seakeeper 2 gyro stabilization unit and ZipWake interceptor trim system. Three Shockwave marine suspension helm seats reduce fatigue on long runs. Climate control features an Espar hydronic heating furnace supplying heat and instant hot water throughout. A Schenker Zen 30 watermaker produces 30 liters per hour for extended voyages. House power comes from Mastervolt lithium batteries with inverter, plus dual engine start batteries.

Storage and fishing amenities are comprehensive: six flush-mount rod holders around the aft cockpit gunwales, a custom overhead rocket launcher with ten rod holder positions and electric raise-lower actuator, and ample storage throughout. An ADC Davco electric davit mounted on the hardtop handles a 9'6" offshore cruising tender with carbonfiber and fiberglass construction, powered by a Yamaha 6 hp four-stroke outboard.
