The 2024 Hewescraft 270 Alaskan is a 30-foot aluminum cruiser built for serious offshore fishing and extended exploration. Powered by twin Yamaha outboards rated at 400 horsepower total, the boat combines a deep 30-inch inside depth with an 8-foot beam and a 42-degree bow entry designed to handle open water. The all-welded aluminum hull is rated for up to 500 horsepower, and over 140 gallons of fish storage capacity is built into the transom.
The cabin layout accommodates extended stays with a full standup head, galley with refrigerator, and dinette seating to port. Starboard offers additional seating with a severe-duty mariner seat and 42-inch bench. A console-mounted head and galley support comfort while anchored. The layout includes a stowable galley table and sleeper seats for overnight use.
Fishing-focused equipment includes twelve rod holders across a cabin-side rocket launcher and rooftop configuration, electric trim tabs with LED indicators, a kicker Yamaha station, and downrigger brackets on the transom rails. Dual helm stations with SeaStar hydraulic steering and CL5 digital display provide full command options. LED courtesy lights are positioned at the console and aft gunwales, with a two-rung swim ladder on the starboard side.
The boat comes with an EZ Loader tandem axle trailer rated for 12,000 pounds, hydraulic disc brakes, spare tire and carrier, and transom tie downs for trailering support.
