The Lagoon 42 is a modern catamaran built from fiberglass, featuring a beam of just over 25 feet that delivers the spacious, stable platform the design is known for. Twin diesel engines of 90 horsepower each provide the power for cruising and maneuvering. The hull form and wide stance offer excellent comfort and seakeeping characteristics typical of the Lagoon range.

Accommodation includes four cabins and four heads, providing sleeping and sanitary facilities for a cruising family or charter group. The layout takes full advantage of the catamaran's beam, offering generous interior space and natural light throughout.
