The Leeuwin 55 is a 55-foot fiberglass catamaran built for shallow-water cruising and fast, responsive performance. Four Suzuki outboard engines totaling 1,200 horsepower drive the boat to a maximum speed of 27 knots, with a cruising speed of 12 knots. The outboard configuration eliminates the need for a traditional engine room, freeing up interior volume for living space and storage that inboard diesel installations cannot match.

The catamaran layout provides five cabins with efficient use of the 27-foot beam. The absence of large diesel engines and their associated infrastructure creates flexibility in interior design and significantly reduces routine maintenance demands.
