The Mazarin 55 is a 2024 hybrid-electric catamaran built to CE-A standards. At nearly 55 feet with a 28-foot beam, this fiberglass hull offers the stability and interior volume typical of the catamaran platform. The boat features carbon fiber reinforcement in the keel and deck, strengthening the structure while minimizing weight.
Power comes from dual 150kW electric motors paired with a 72kW Yanmar diesel generator. The 225kWh lithium battery system at 400V is supplemented by 10kWh of solar capacity, enabling extended cruising on electric propulsion alone at 8 knots, with a maximum speed of 16 knots. Twin thrusters provide additional maneuvering control.
The interior layout includes three cabins and three heads. The boat was built to the owner's specifications with an optional large flybridge, teak deck exterior, upgraded navigation systems, a watermaker for freshwater production, and a life raft. The hybrid-electric powertrain and renewable energy systems represent the boat's core appeal for efficient, quiet operation.
