The 2024 Midnight Express 43 Open is a center console powered by five Mercury Racing 500R engines delivering 2500 horsepower total. Built in fiberglass with a beam of 12.5 feet, this boat combines aggressive offshore capability with extensive custom detailing. The hull bottom, hullside, and deck are painted, with custom graphics and all small parts and hardtop finished to match. All five engines are painted with vinyl stickers, and antennas are integrated into the hard top aesthetic.
The cockpit layout features a forward stylized fiberglass U-seat with an electric table that converts to a flush sunpad, and an aft U-lounge with integrated storage and fiberglass base. Foam decking runs throughout the cockpit, console, transom well, hard top, and gunwales. The helm incorporates two refrigerators behind the seat, a carbon fiber dash, two gloveboxes, and dual trumpet airhons. Seventeen LED cupholders are distributed throughout.
Navigation and control systems include three Garmin 8622 chartplotters mounted flush, a depthsounder with GSD24 transducer, and full Garmin Gateway integration. A Quick Anchor windlass system handles 300 feet of line with 10 feet of galvanized chain and a 33-pound polished stainless steel anchor, paired with a custom polished roller system. Bow and stern thrusters provide precision maneuvering, with an 80-kilogram bow thruster and rocker switch controls at the helm. Additional features include an upgraded glass windshield with wings, upgraded alcantara interior with cross-stitched headrests, premium JL audio system with ten 8.8-inch speakers, four 12-inch subwoofers and amplifiers, LED spotlight with remote control, and three color-change underwater lights in the transom.
