The Nautitech 44 Open is a modern catamaran designed by Marc Lombard, built with vacuum-infused fiberglass and divinycell coring for light, rigid construction. This 2024 example is powered by two Volvo Penta 50 hp diesel engines with 632 hours of operation. The hull features inverted bows, stepped chines, and high-aspect fin keels for performance, with dual steering wheels and spade rudders. The boat carries 132 gallons of fuel and 158 gallons of fresh water.
The interior is arranged as an owner's version with a spacious queen master suite to port, a guest cabin with equal-sized berth to starboard, and a rare utility SmartRoom featuring a washer/dryer, additional freezer storage, and workbench space. The saloon integrates fully with an expansive cockpit through large opening doors, creating one continuous entertaining and living area. The galley is well-equipped with two refrigerators and two freezers plus microwave and three-burner LPG stove. Two heads serve the accommodations. Light wood interior finishes throughout, with upgraded mattresses and custom bedding in both cabins.
Systems are configured for extended independence: a 1020 amp-hour lithium house bank, nearly 1840 watts of solar generation with MPPT controllers, a 105-liter-per-hour watermaker, and a 3000-watt Victron inverter/charger. Navigation and communication rely on a full Raymarine B&G electronics suite including dual 9-inch chartplotters at helm stations, 12-inch plotter at the chart table, radar, forward-looking sonar and mast camera, Starlink Maritime satellite system with Iridium backup, and VHF with integrated AIS. Onan 7 kW generator provides additional power. A comprehensive sail inventory includes fully battened mainsail, self-tacking jib, gennaker, code zero, and a parasailor.
Deck gear includes electric Lewmar windlass, upgraded running rigging, electric winches, a 30 kg spade anchor with 70 meters of 10 mm chain, davits, and a Highfield 320 tender with Honda 15 hp outboard. An 8-person liferaft and full offshore safety equipment are included. Anti-fouling and engine servicing were completed in July 2025, with detailed maintenance logs on file.
