The New Harbor 28 is a 28-foot downeast-style boat built on a fiberglass hull derived from the Wasque 26 design by John Alden's office. The hull has been extended to accommodate outboard power, blending traditional downeast proportions with modern propulsion.

At 8 feet of beam, the boat offers a compact profile suited to shallow-water cruising and coastal work. The single head provides basic facilities for day use or short passages.

Power comes from a Yamaha outboard, positioned to take advantage of the extended transom. The design reflects classic New England boatbuilding principles while incorporating contemporary materials and engineering.
