The 2024 Nimbus Commuter 11 is a 40-foot Scandinavian-designed pilothouse built for cruising and coastal transport. Powered by twin 300-horsepower Mercury gasoline engines, the yacht reaches speeds over 40 knots and cruises efficiently at 20 to 40 knots. The hull employs air lubrication and twin stepped design to achieve low planing threshold, delivering both speed and seaworthiness with composed handling.
The layout centers on a spacious main salon with generous windows and side doors, plus a sliding glass door aft. The salon features flexible seating: sofas that convert between transport, dinette, and U-shaped configurations. A walk-around design provides full exterior access, and the aft deck includes a sun shade. The fore deck carries a sunbed and divan, with its own shade.
Accommodation comprises two cabins—a forward double berth and a mid-cabin double—with a separate head and shower. Storage is substantial: an extra-large aft locker and a cargo hatch on the fore deck providing access to the forward cabin. Two electric glass roof hatches bring natural light and ventilation.
The yacht can be equipped with optional systems including a diesel generator, air conditioning, Humphree active stabilization, gyroscopic stabilization, and joystick steering, with roof racks also available. Fiberglass construction throughout.
