2024 Northwest 55

The 2024 Northwest 55 is a fiberglass trawler designed for extended cruising and serious passagemaking. Built with vacuum-bagged composite construction and sealed with four layers of vinyl ester resin, the hull features three watertight bulkheads, integral rub rails, and reinforcement for the Wesmar fin stabilizers. The yacht measures 55.58 feet in length with a 17.17-foot beam, powered by twin John Deere 6068 diesel engines rated at 330 horsepower each, delivering a cruising speed of 10 knots and maximum speed of 14 knots.

The interior accommodates three cabins and two heads across a thoughtfully planned layout. The master stateroom amidships features a queen berth with drawer storage below, three portlights, and a private en-suite head with electric-heated floors and a separate shower stall. The forward VIP cabin offers an island queen berth with storage and four portlights. A guest cabin with over-under bunks completes the sleeping arrangements. The galley features an induction electric range, electric oven, GE refrigerator with bottom freezer, stainless steel sink with spray fixture, and stone countertops. The pilothouse includes an L-shaped settee convertible to a berth, while the main salon features a built-in port settee with storage and a 40-inch Samsung television on lift.

Navigation and control systems are comprehensive, with dual 16-inch Garmin GPSMAP 8616 displays at the lower helm and a Garmin GPSMAP 8616xsv at the flybridge station, supported by Garmin radar, autopilot, and VHF. The yacht is equipped with bow and stern thrusters, twin fuel filters, a 16-kilowatt Northern Lights generator, and eight AGM house batteries providing 2,040 amp-hours. Freshwater capacity totals 300 gallons, with 1,200 gallons of diesel fuel storage. A 12-foot AB inflatable tender with 30-horsepower Tohatsu outboard is included with a davit system. The boat features a full hardwood interior with cherry and holly flooring throughout primary spaces, along with air conditioning, washer and dryer units, and underwater lighting.
