2024 Ranger Tugs R-27

The 2024 Ranger Tugs R-27 is a 27-foot fiberglass cruiser built for both extended voyaging and fishing. Powered by a single Yamaha 300-horsepower outboard with low-speed trolling control, the boat reaches cruising speeds around 23 knots and a top speed of nearly 35 knots. The engine has logged just under 215 hours. A custom hard top with accessible rod holders keeps the cockpit open for fishing, while an aft steering and throttle station allows operation from the back deck. The hull and deck carry matching gray with black powder-coated rails and hardware throughout.

Below deck, the R-27 accommodates two cabins and one head. The galley features expanded storage, and sleeping areas include YachtBedding 4-inch mattress toppers. A 640-amp-hour LiFePO4 lithium battery bank powers the boat, charged via 220-volt shore power, a 60-amp DC-to-DC converter, and a 220-watt bifacial solar panel with independent Victron controller. Webasto diesel heating provides climate control with Bluetooth management. Additional systems include Fusion multi-zone stereo with subwoofer, Garmin autopilot, a Garmin 8612xsv chartplotter with sonar and xHD radar, and an inverter.

Fishing-focused upgrades include Burnewiin integration with Cannon and Scotty plate mounts, a cut table, propane system with quick-connect for grill use, aerated livewell, built-in cockpit tackle storage, and both forward-facing and aft-facing LED lighting. The transom carries an upgraded Garmin transducer alongside the standard through-hull unit. A bow camera aids trailer loading. The boat includes a Float-On triple-axle aluminum trailer with electric and hydraulic brakes and a dinghy lift rigged with a 260-meter RIB and motor storage bracket. An anchor package with 16.5-pound anchor, 50 feet of galvanized chain, and 200 feet of line is installed. The 200-hour service has been completed.
