The 2024 Ranger Tugs R-27 is a 27-foot pilothouse built on a fiberglass hull and powered by two Yamaha engines totaling 310 horsepower, with a 9.9 hp auxiliary motor package. The boat has been extensively upgraded with navigation and electronic systems including dual Garmin chartplotters with radar and sonar, Garmin autopilot with auto glide functionality, AIS transceiver, and a high-end networking setup featuring Peplink 5G router and remote antenna system. Solar power has been significantly enhanced with 500 watts of high-efficiency panels and dedicated Victron DC-DC charger, paired with lithium house batteries and reverse-cycle air conditioning.
