The 2024 ShearWater 270 SS Carolina is a 26-foot center console powered by a single 450-horsepower Mercury engine, capable of reaching 52 knots at top speed with a cruising speed of 39 knots. Built with a fiberglass hull reinforced with Kevlar and pressure-injected foam core construction, the boat combines seaworthiness with tournament fishing performance.
The console features custom dash panels with a JL Audio media system, four 7.7-inch speakers, and push-button controls. A hardtop provides weather protection, and the helm includes power steering or electric steering options, a tilt mechanism, and plush seating with folding armrests and flip-up bolsters. An in-console head and fresh and raw water washdowns serve practicality.
Tournament fishing capability defines much of the boat's layout. Four livewells with high-speed pickups, overflows, and recirculating aeration systems sit ready for serious anglers, alongside eight stainless flush-mount rod holders and under-gunnel rod storage. Additional rod holders line the rails, and ShadowCaster underwater blue lights attract baitfish. Coaming pads and helm pads protect high-wear areas.
Standard equipment includes an Airmar B60 bronze transducer, recessed Lenco trim tabs, a dual battery charger, and stainless steel propeller. Lighting spans four overhead lights, two docking lights, and spreader lights fore and aft. A misting system provides cooling, and the self-bailing cockpit, twin 1100-GPH bilge pumps, and bow rail ensure seaworthiness.
