The Silver Streak 16 Challenger is a fully welded aluminum open boat built for serious fishing and utility work. At 16 feet with a 6.75-foot beam, it offers substantial width and stability for its size. The hull features integrated 5-inch gunnels and floor, reinforced by a delta pad on the bottom that improves lift and handling in rougher conditions. Construction includes clear coat protection on the hull sides and transom to resist corrosion, along with magnesium anodes for additional protection. A single 50 hp Yamaha engine powers the boat via tiller steering.
The layout centers on open functionality. A forward-mounted flush seat with flotation anchors the bow, while a full-width splash well with an enlarged cutout can accommodate a kicker motor. Side storage benches provide seating and practical stowage. The boat includes a floatation-filled forward locker with bilge access, non-skid strips throughout, an 8-inch welded aluminum cleat, and a 20-inch transom rated for the Yamaha engine.
This model comes equipped with a range of practical features: four cup holders, drain plug, transom brackets for transducers and anodes, and welded bow and transom eyes with stainless inserts. Added options on this boat include a bow locker with locking door and flush cleat, a fish box with lid built into the bench seat, four welded rod holders on the bow railings, LED navigation lights, a Series 24 battery with box and electrical panel, and an aluminum propeller. A Roadrunner single-axle bunk trailer with LED lights, tie-downs, spare tire kit, and vertical guide posts is included.
