About This Yacht
The 2024 Sumerset Mahana Trip #8 is a 78-foot aluminum houseboat powered by twin MerCruiser diesel engines with Bravo II drives. Built with a reverse floor plan, the boat accommodates four bedrooms—one king and three queens—along with two heads. The interior features grade A granite countertops, custom cabinetry with solid wood doors and trim, LED yacht lighting throughout, and a geothermal climate control system. Two large sliding doors open to the main deck, and a 65-inch smart TV anchors the salon.
The galley is fitted with dual 25.5-cubic-foot stainless refrigerators, a 30-inch propane range, built-in microwave, 24-inch dishwasher, ice maker, and a stacked washer-dryer. The upper deck spans 36 feet with a fiberglass party top, roof bar with granite countertop and sink, and a slide connected to the lake water pump. Two ceiling fans and LED lighting illuminate the space, while a windlass anchor system and flag poles complete the setup. The front deck includes storage hatches and two 25-foot shore cords rated for 220V at 50 amps. The rear deck features dual PWC ramps, a telescoping swim ladder, and another water-fed slide.
Power comes from an 8-kilowatt solar array feeding a 30-kilowatt-hour lithium inverter bank, backed by a 22.5-kilowatt Westerbeke generator. Fuel capacity totals 600 gallons plus a toy tank. The boat carries 700 gallons of holding tank capacity and includes a bow thruster, dual 20-gallon water heaters, and multiple bilge pumps. Safety equipment comprises 12 life jackets, three fire extinguishers with an additional auto-extinguisher in the engine compartment, and coast guard-compliant wiring throughout. The aluminum hull features double-plating at the bow and measures 18 feet wide.
