The 2024 Sunreef 80 Eco is a 78-foot electric catamaran built for extended blue-water cruising. Her fiberglass hulls span 37 feet in beam, providing the stability and volume expected of a modern cruising cat. Twin electric motors deliver 321 hp, paired with hydrofoil regenerators that recharge the batteries while under sail—producing up to 7 kW per prop during water passage. A 32 kW solar skin system serves as the primary power source, capable of delivering sufficient charge to support air conditioning, watermakers, and all ship's systems without requiring a diesel generator.
The yacht accommodates six cabins and six heads, with a central saloon that opens to both bow and aft cockpit spaces. The saloon features panoramic sightlines and flexible furnishing options. Forward, the bow terrace can be configured with either classic trampolines or sun pads. Aft, an expanded cockpit flows into an ocean lounge with folding platforms, while an integrated garage beneath the sofa houses tender storage. Below deck, the hull volumes provide scope for bespoke interior layouts. Natural wood finishes, high bulwarks, and clean lines define the modern aesthetic.
The yacht is rigged with a custom North 3Di sail wardrobe including a square-top mainsail, staysail, genoa, code reacher, helix downwind reacher, and G2 gennaker—enabling efficient sailing across a range of conditions. Electric propulsion delivers near-silent operation; the boat has sustained seven-day Atlantic crossings while running full ship systems without generator support. A fully equipped 20-foot shipping container is included for storage and workshop use. The yacht is commercially registered.
