The 2024 Weaver 43 is a fiberglass bay boat built with meticulous construction methods. The hull features a modified deep V with tumble home transom, flared bow, and lifting strakes. It combines multiple layers of Okume plywood and E-glass impregnated with epoxy throughout the hull and cabin structure, with laminated Douglas fir stringers and battens for strength. The finish includes six primer coats and Awlcraft 2000 paint, with an ablative anti-fouling bottom system. Interior cabinetry is custom wood with countertops in KVF or Corian, accented with chrome hardware throughout.
Twin 900-horsepower Scania diesel engines deliver serious performance, pushing the boat to 34 knots at top speed and 26 knots at cruise. The engines are paired with ZF 400 IV electronic transmissions and supported by a 9-kilowatt Onan generator with sound shield. An onboard SeaKeeper 6 gyro stabilizer ensures smooth operation in rough water. Twin 180-gallon fuel tanks and a 55-gallon water tank support extended voyages, while dual Vetus 8-inch bow and stern thrusters with joystick controls simplify docking.
The single cabin features a forward V-bunk with cushioned berths, designer fabrics, and carpeted flooring, alongside a full head with shower, fresh water flush toilet, and mirrored medicine cabinet. The main salon offers ultraleather sofas and dinette seating, galley kitchen with microwave and convection oven, refrigerator, stainless steel sink, and a TV lift for a 40-inch display. Both air-conditioning units include reverse-cycle heat and digital controls. The helm is fully equipped with dual Garmin chartplotters with sonar and radar, autopilot, Fusion stereo, and underwater lighting.
Fishing and cruising amenities include a transom livewell, insulated ice bin, six rod holders in the covering boards, fresh and salt water washdown systems, and self-bailing cockpit. Deck hardware includes polished stainless steel plow anchor with 250 feet of rope, Vetus electric windlass operable from helm or deck, and teak covering boards. Additional features include propeller speed coating added in fall 2024, side-mounted grab rails, and multiple Lumitec under-gunnel lights for night operation.
