The 2024 World Cat 400 DC-X is a 40-foot dual console catamaran built in fiberglass with a 12.67-foot beam. Twin Yamaha 450-horsepower four-stroke outboards deliver a cruise speed of 26 knots and a top speed of 40 knots. The boat runs on gasoline and includes joystick steering for easy maneuvering.
The layout centers on a U-shaped cockpit dinette—a configuration no longer offered on new builds. The design maximizes social space and entertaining capability, with a full walkaround beam that opens sightlines throughout the cockpit. A single head services the accommodation spaces. Equipment includes a Garmin GPS Map 8616 and GMR Dome Radar for navigation, plus a FLIR camera system. An 8-kilowatt Fischer Panda generator provides independent power.
Comfort features span a 12,000-BTU cockpit air conditioning unit and an 8,000-BTU cabin system to manage the tropical climate. Three-sided Strata glass enclosures with unzip windows enclose the spaces, paired with a bow shade and cover for bow seating. A summer kitchen adds outdoor functionality. Starlink connectivity rounds out the specification.
The boat carries fewer than 50 engine hours on the original factory warranty, which extends through 2032.
