The 2025 Avid 16 Commander is a compact aluminum runabout built for hunting, fishing, and general recreation. At 16 feet 2 inches long with a 6-foot 8-inch beam, it strikes a balance between agility and stability. The single 60 hp Yamaha four-stroke engine delivers power in a tiller-operated package designed for easy handling and maneuverability across varying water conditions.
The boat is built from .125-gauge 5052 aluminum alloy and features a modified vee hull with lifting strakes for improved performance. The deck layout includes a Versatec gunnel, integrated step transom pods with custom reflex flooring, bow storage, and aft port and starboard storage boxes. A gun tray and integrated rod and gun storage compartments support hunting and fishing activities. Additional features include a Turtlebox speaker, Seelite LED lighting, a 9-gallon fuel tank, and a trolling motor landing pad.
Electrical systems are marine-grade, with dedicated 10-gauge electronics power circuit, circuit breaker protection, waterproof rocker switches, and Deutsch electrical connectors. An 800 GPH auto bilge pump with battery shut-off switch manages water removal. An optional forward livewell is available with high-speed aerator pickup, 500 GPH recirculation pump with timer and max air system, and 800 GPH aerator pumps.
