2025 Caymas 281 HB

The 2025 Caymas 281 HB is a 28-foot hybrid sportfisher built on a composite Michael Peters double-stepped ventilated tunnel hull. Twin Mercury 300HP Verado outboards with 44 hours of run time power the boat to a cruising speed of 37 knots and a top speed of 55 knots. The hull design combines speed and fuel efficiency with a dry, predictable ride suitable for both offshore work and shallow-water fishing.

The boat is heavily rigged for fishing and cruising. A full half tower frames a control station with triple GPS/sonar capability via Simrad NSS12 EVO3, Simrad NSS9 EVO3, and Garmin 8612 XSV units. Additional electronics include a Garmin Force Kraken 36-volt lithium trolling motor, Garmin VHF radio, and a Fusion stereo paired with eight JL Audio speakers. Lighting includes underwater and deck LEDs throughout. A 10-foot Powerpole blade 2.0 and Lenco electric trim tabs with indicators support station-keeping and precise depth control.

The open layout prioritizes fishing functionality and family comfort. Forward bow seating pairs with a center-line flip-up stern seat and U-shaped bow lounges to accommodate crew and guests. The cockpit features custom Seadeck flooring, two bait wells, a pull-out cooler slide, and abundant built-in tackle and gear storage. A swim ladder and rear flip-up seat add convenience. The 120-gallon fuel tank supports extended range, with an optional 35-gallon auxiliary capacity available. A 2025 aluminum trailer is included.
