The 2025 Caymas 281 HB is a 27.9-foot hybrid center console built on a Michael Peters double-stepped ventilated tunnel hull. Twin Mercury 300 outboards power the boat, paired with hydraulic jack plates for shallow-water operation. The composite hull combines the fishability of an offshore center console with the draft characteristics of a bay boat, making it capable of running long distances and accessing skinny water.
The boat features a spacious nonskid casting deck, integrated storage compartments for tackle and gear, and dual 35-gallon livewells. The console includes dual Garmin 8616XSV displays. A 120-gallon fuel tank is standard, with an auxiliary 50-gallon tank installed on this example. The 16-gallon freshwater system and marine head with blackwater tank support extended outings. A glass-enclosed hardtop with molded structure provides weather protection.
Accommodations include U-shaped bow seating, flip-up center-line stern seating, and a 9.3-foot beam with high freeboard and deep gunnels. The JL Audio system comprises an MM100 stereo, eight 6.5-inch M6 speakers, four 8.8-inch M6 speakers, and two amplifiers. Additional features include LED light bars, underwater lights, a black Edson wheel, a leaning post drawer with cutting board, and a cooler slide configured for a Yeti 65 cooler. A 4-bank battery charger with battery parallel capability rounds out the electrical system.
