The 2025 Chittum Skiffs 18 Islamorada is an 18-foot composite flats boat designed for shallow-water fishing. Built with 50% carbon construction, the hull features a 12-degree deadrise with an 8-inch pad and incorporates a sound-deadening system throughout. The boat is finished in Courtesan Blue topsides with a Matterhorn White hull.
Power comes from a Yamaha 90 SHO four-stroke engine paired with a stainless steel prop, capable of 48–50 mph. Steering is handled by UFLEX hydraulic steering with a 2.5 lock-to-lock ratio and a 13-inch stainless steel Edson wheel. Trim is managed by Lectrotab tabs with 12-inch polished 316 stainless steel surfaces. An 18-foot standard console sits forward with flush-mounted switches and a knot-tying ring.
Storage and deck layout include a custom poling platform with a carbon step and two rod holders, high-capacity carbon fiber rod racks under the gunnels with flush fly rod tubes, a crustacean well, three hatches, and multiple dry storage compartments—including a large lockable aft box and forward deck storage. All hatches are fitted with Gemlux 316 stainless steel flush-mounted latches, hinges, and gas shocks with rubber gaskets. The boat is equipped with LED navigation lights, LED compartment lighting, a 23-gallon fully baffled aluminum fuel tank, a 12-volt Optima battery, a 1500 GPH rule bilge pump with automatic switch, and UFLEX hydraulic steering.
The package includes a custom Ram-Lin stainless steel and aluminum dry launch trailer fitted with walk boards, three aluminum mag wheels, Ranier radial tires, and LED lights.
