The 2025 Cobia 285 Open is a 28-foot center console built for both recreational and tournament fishing. Powered by triple Yamaha engines producing 600 horsepower, it delivers the speed and capability to reach distant grounds and fish all day. The fiberglass hull spans 9 feet 11 inches of beam, providing stability and interior volume throughout the boat.

The open layout prioritizes access and fishing functionality. Two insulated cockpit fish boxes with macerated overboard drains sit ready for the day's catch. The design accommodates standard kite rod holders and optional deep-drop rigging with reinforced gunnel boards and electric reel outlets. A Garmin Force Kraken trolling motor and optional Garmin dual 16-inch chartplotter screens support navigation and trolling duties. The helm features a premium seat with integrated tackle center and sliding cooler, with the option to swap in additional tackle space or a Seakeeper 1 gyroscopic stabilizer.
