2025 Cockwells 27

The Cockwells 27 is a fiberglass motor yacht combining day boat versatility with weekender capability. Powered by a single 230-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine, it reaches a maximum speed of 25 knots with a cruising speed of 20 knots. The 27-foot hull spans 9.25 feet at the beam, offering a practical platform for coastal and near-offshore cruising.

Deck layout centers on an open cockpit with seating for six, an expandable varnished table, and additional seating with backrest on the engine box. The transom features a door and integral step leading to a swim platform with shower. Forward, twin bow rollers and an anchor windlass are supported by built-in steps with multiple handrails and a bow rail. The pilothouse offers helm and companion adjustable seating with opening hatches and side windows for ventilation and all-around visibility. Engine controls, gauges, navigation instruments, and 12-volt DC switches position conveniently at the helm.

Below deck, the interior includes a V-berth with filler, a galley, and an ensuite head with shower. Synthetic teak covers the side decking, cockpit sole, swim platform, and coaming caps, combining traditional appearance with low-maintenance practicality. Cabinetry is solid panel construction with dovetail-jointed drawers and customized storage throughout. Wiring and plumbing are neatly routed, and the hull employs a structural matrix typical of the builder's approach. The yacht is built to Recreational Craft Directive Category C standards.
