The Garcia 45 Exploration is a purpose-built aluminum cruising yacht designed for extended offshore passages in variable conditions. The hull is welded 5083 H111 aluminum with 10 mm thickness, reinforced by crash boxes and watertight bulkheads, and wrapped in 74 mm insulation for thermal protection. Power comes from a Volvo Penta D2-75 diesel engine with a 950-liter fuel capacity, dual Racor filters, and fuel polishing capability. The boat carries a liftable centerboard with range from 1.14 to 2.90 meters and is fitted with dual skeg rudders for directional stability in heavy seas.
The sail plan includes Hydranet main, solent, and staysail, with a spinnaker pole and upgraded electric winches for reduced crew fatigue. Navigation and communication systems are based on Raymarine B&G electronics: dual 12-inch plotters, radar, AIS, autopilot with backup capability. Two cabins and two heads provide the accommodation. The saloon features panoramic windows and opens to the galley, which is fully equipped with oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and washing machine.
Energy systems comprise three 200 Ah lithium banks and 1170 watts of solar generation, supplemented by Webasto heating for comfort in cold climates. The separate shower enhances livability on extended voyages. Safety equipment includes a Viking 8-person liferaft, EPIRB, MOB kit, and Spinlock lifejackets, along with multiple anchor systems. The boat was delivered in March 2025 and comes with full factory warranties.
