The 2025 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440 is a 44-foot fiberglass sloop built around an innovative full-chine hull with a distinctive scow bow design. The bow remains high in the wind and flexes upward through waves, offering a dry and comfortable motion underway. Wide walk-around side decks facilitate easy movement from either helm to the bow, and the overall hull form balances buoyancy forward with efficient speed through the water. A single Yammer 57 hp diesel engine provides auxiliary power, with a cruising speed of 8 knots and a maximum speed of 8.75 knots under sail.

Below deck, the layout prioritizes livability with a central galley positioned low for better weight distribution and sailing performance. Three cabins are each fitted with true rectangular berths and substantial headroom. Two heads serve the accommodations.
