The Tahiti 24M is a 78.74-foot catamaran designed by Kit Carlier Design in New Zealand with hybrid propulsion technology developed by E-Motion Systems in Italy. Built by Mazarin Shipyard, this new catamaran features four Yanmar diesel engines producing 1,670 horsepower combined. The design emphasizes low-drag hull geometry optimized for extended range under conventional diesel operation, with hybrid drive capability extending operational range further still.
The hull is available in fiberglass with Kevlar reinforcement, carbon construction, or aluminum, allowing customization to suit different performance and weight requirements. Engineering and fluid dynamics analysis have been completed by Stimson in New Zealand, validating the design's efficiency characteristics. Layout and build specifications can be tailored to individual requirements.
