The 2025 Protector 380 Targa is a 38-foot rigid inflatable built on a reinforced fiberglass hull with a modern deep-vee design. Twin Mercury Verado V10 400 HP engines power the boat and are paired with digital throttle and shift controls, joystick piloting, and electronic steering. The hull has been widened 14 inches compared to earlier designs, creating additional interior and deck space, while a new cabin layout offers stand-up headroom throughout.
Accommodations include two full seven-foot bunks, a fully enclosed head with sink and holding tank, and generous seating across the pilot house and cockpit. The cabin features an opening sunroof and side window sliders for ventilation, while the extended rooftop provides sun protection. Storage is integrated throughout, with watertight quarter-seat lockers, recessed footwells, and cubbies in the redesigned dash. A boarding platform with integral ladder sits at the transom.
The electronics suite centers on Simrad equipment: a 16-inch NSS evo3 touch-screen multifunction display with GPS, chartplotter, and sounder, a Halo 24xd radar with heading sensor, and VHF with AIS. A Fusion marine stereo with six speakers and an autopilot with integrated Skyhook complete the systems. Additional features include a ZipWake dynamic trim control system, Maxwell underbow auto anchor system, and SP60 bow thruster. The boat carries a 237-gallon fuel tank, dual bilge pumps, and twin self-bailing scupper systems.
The boat has logged 42 total hours since delivery in June 2025. A full canvas package, bottom paint, new AGM batteries, and all engine service bulletins have been completed. The engines carry a two-year warranty, with seven years available through extension. Inflation tubes are UV-resistant Hypalon with chafe guards.
