The 2025 Ranger Tugs R-29 is a 29-foot fiberglass trawler powered by a single 320 hp Volvo D4 diesel engine. Built as a demo model in Midnight Blue, the boat arrives fully equipped for cruising and coastal work.
The layout centers on a command bridge offering shelter and visibility, with an aft cockpit outfitted with a sun shade and bimini top. Below deck, teak and holly finishes appear throughout the interior, complemented by matching EVA foam traction decking on exterior surfaces. A propane stove with dual tanks and a macerator are installed. Air conditioning and reverse-cycle heating keep the cabin comfortable, while a 220-watt bi-facial solar panel and a next-generation diesel generator with sound shield provide power.
Navigation and control systems include dual Garmin 8612 chartplotters (helm and bridge stations), integrated sonar, and xHD radar. A Garmin autopilot with dual stations and wireless remote handles long-range cruising. Bow and stern thrusters with wireless remotes aid maneuvering. The AIS receiving system enhances situational awareness.
Standard safety and anchoring equipment are comprehensive: a 22-pound anchor with 50 feet of chain and 200 feet of line, life jackets, fire extinguishers, first aid kit, flares, fenders, lines, and boat hook. Underwater lights, transom platform rails, and an AGM battery upgrade round out the specification. The engine carries a five-year extended coverage option.
