The 64 Convertible represents Viking's latest four-stateroom, three-head design built for both tournament fishing and extended cruising. The composite hull employs vacuum-infused fiberglass and coring with vinylester resin, engineered for stiffness and strength while keeping weight minimal. Hull optimization through computational fluid dynamics refined the running surface for efficiency, and the hull-to-deck joint is through-bolted every three inches and fiberglassed for a solid bond. Power comes from twin MTU Series 2000 V12 diesel engines rated at 2,002 horsepower each.
The 180-square-foot cockpit prioritizes function and access, with flush rod holders, in-deck insulated fish and stowage boxes, fresh and raw-water washdown systems, and a centerline lazarette hatch for engine room entry. Rod storage runs beneath a raised dinette platform, and the aluminum cockpit sole accepts backing plates for a fighting chair or rocket launcher. The observation mezzanine keeps guests separate from working crew and includes cooler storage and a tackle cabinet.
Below deck, the salon flows uninterrupted from the cabin trunk to the forepeak, creating an open sense of space. Natural walnut cabinetry and joinery are finished in-house throughout. The galley features dual Sub-Zero refrigerators, a freezer, four-burner cooktop, and a microwave-convection oven with engineered stone countertops. The master stateroom and forward cabin offer queen walk-around berths with ensuite heads; two additional staterooms provide guest and crew sleeping quarters with maple-lined storage.
The flybridge centers on a streamlined console with integrated electronics displays and custom helm pod featuring single-lever electronic controls. Storage is distributed across all four corners, with a two-person lounge, sink, and refrigerated drink box. Engine room systems include dedicated seawater pumps, fire suppression, oil-change facilities, and dual 21.5 kW Onan gensets. The engine room, lazarette, and bilges are coated with Snow White Awlgrip for visibility and maintenance access.
