The Albemarle 53 Spencer Edition is a 53-foot fiberglass convertible sportfisher built on a vacuum-infused hull with vinylester resin and foam core construction. This partnership between two North Carolina boat builders combines Spencer's classic styling with Albemarle's engineering for high-cruise-speed performance and seagoing ability. The hull is engineered for strength and efficiency, featuring a vacuum-infused composite construction that delivers a strong yet lightweight platform.
The interior layout includes three staterooms and two heads. The master stateroom is forward with a queen-size island bed, cedar-lined hanging lockers, and a Bomar hatch. Two additional guest staterooms feature twin bunks. The main cabin offers an open salon with two L-shaped seating areas, a dinette with ultra-leather upholstery, and a galley equipped with a refrigerator and freezer drawers, electric cooktop, and convection microwave. A home theater system with HD television and surround sound is included. Both heads feature separate shower stalls with automatic sump pumps, electric heads, LED lighting, and solid surface vanities.
The flybridge features a Palm Beach-style helm pod with Release Marine Carolina Series helm chairs, stainless steel steering wheel, complete instrumentation, and dual bench seating with forward-facing lounge. The non-skid flybridge accommodates abundant helm and guest positioning with excellent visibility. The cockpit spans 160 square feet and includes a transom fish box, transom door, mezzanine seating, engine room access, molded cooler boxes, a live bait well with LED light, and six flush-mounted stainless steel rod holders.
Power comes from twin Caterpillar C12.9 turbo-diesel engines rated at 1,000 horsepower each. The boat includes trim tabs, electronic power steering, a 17-kilowatt diesel generator, three bilge pumps with float switches and high water alarms, air conditioning with reverse cycle heat, a 150-gallon freshwater tank, and full electrical and mechanical systems built to marine standards.
