The 34O marks Back Cove's first outboard-powered model, built on a hull design that incorporates the builder's proprietary Trailing Edge Lifting Surface (TRELIS) technology. This system accelerates planning and reduces the horsepower needed compared to conventional hulls. Twin Mercury outboards producing 800 horsepower deliver a cruising speed near 35 knots and a top speed exceeding 44 knots, extending range and cutting transit time between destinations.
The helm benefits from 360-degree sightlines and large opening windows that flood the pilothouse with natural light and ventilation. A mate's seat to port serves as a comfortable viewing station underway; its backrest folds forward to form part of a U-shaped settee when anchored. An aft-facing cockpit seat converts into additional salon seating for entertaining. The on-deck galley to starboard includes a convection microwave, two-burner electric cooktop, and substantial storage.
Below, the 34O offers a queen-sized island berth with storage drawers and outboard shelving. A split head and shower compartment aft of the berth keeps crew comfortable on extended passages. Generous stowage beneath the salon sole accommodates provisions, water toys, and gear.
