The Back Cove 372 is a redesigned express cruiser that builds on over a decade of owner feedback from its predecessor. The 37-foot hull carries the classic character of the original while introducing updated systems and layout refinements tailored to modern cruising. The single Volvo Penta D8 diesel engine produces 600 horsepower and propels the boat to a cruising speed of 24 knots, with a maximum speed of 30 knots. A 24-volt DC electrical system is more efficient than the original, reducing copper weight and extending runtime for auxiliary systems including optional bow and stern thrusters.
The helm features a 7-inch Garmin display and benefits from a redesigned pod with an upholstered interior, black windshield liner to reduce glare, and expanded electronics storage. Fixed-glazed pilothouse windows enhance sightlines compared to sliding windows, while a center-opening windshield with opening appliances improves ventilation. The fiberglass hull spans 37 feet with a 13-foot beam.
Below, a single cabin and head accommodate cruising quarters. The head was reconfigured with an expanded medicine cabinet, larger over-sink mirror, and redesigned shower stall. Topside, a new aft-facing cockpit seat to starboard includes a folding armrest and drink holder. A new salon door to port and bi-fold window to starboard open the cabin to the cockpit area. The combination of classic design and updated materials throughout reflects a boat engineered for both durability and comfort.
