The 2026 Bass Cat Boats Cougar FTD is a 20-foot center console bay boat powered by a Mercury 250 outboard engine. Built on the proven dry-riding Legacy Bass Cat 20-foot hull, the boat is engineered for tournament anglers with a layout that prioritizes function and storage. Every component—from console positioning to deck organization—supports both comfort and competitive fishing.
Storage runs throughout the boat with intention. Center storage allows rod access without moving deck rods, while port and starboard rod boxes each hold 8 feet of rod length. The console has been updated to accommodate larger single or dual graph displays with optional dual-mount capability. Twin drop-in bait trays sit above the rear deck, which features dedicated twin doors for Power Pole pump programming. Additional storage sits under the Wave Crusher bucket seats and dual cockpit coolers, with organized compartments designed to maximize usable space.
The package includes a Mercury 250 engine, Power Poles, a Garmin Trolling Motor, Garmin LiveScope, and two Garmin 126SV graph units. Electronics are supported by a full system: dual 1000 GPH automatic bilges, a Minn Kota 3-bank charger, two XPLORE 9 units, and an integrated digital switch panel with master power controls at the dash and crank battery. A 6-gauge tinned graph harness with bus bars manages the electrical load. Integrated LED deck lighting, an underwater wake light, and livewell lights complete the system. Safety features include a windscreen, stainless steel boarding ladder and drain plug, rear safety lights, and a security system with lighted interior boxes. The boat carries 54 gallons of fuel and weighs 2,030 pounds.
