2026 Beneteau First 14
About This Yacht
The Beneteau First 14 is a 14-foot fiberglass sailing dinghy designed as an accessible entry point for one or two sailors. The hull is wide and stable, with a spacious open cockpit laid out cleanly to minimize clutter. The boat is rigged with a furling and self-tacking jib, an aluminum mast, and dacron sails. Two centerboard positions allow you to adjust sail area for different wind conditions and crew sizes without requiring a trapeze.
The design prioritizes ease of handling and maintenance. Control lines are simplified, and the boom sits higher than typical to keep the working area organized. A gennaker snuffer system is included, along with easy-to-maintain deck equipment. The self-tacking jib and stable hull make the boat straightforward to manage in a range of conditions.
The First 14 is designed for mobility both on and off the water. She is light enough to transport on a car roof, and her mast and equipment divide for storage inside the hull. The boat can be inverted and carried using a flat bench design. Unique removable wheels allow exploration from different launch points without returning to your starting location, opening access to remote beaches and anchorages.
