The Blackfin 242 HB is a 24-foot bay boat built on the builder's deep-V hull design with a 15-degree deadrise and wide 8'10" beam. Powered by a single Mercury 300 outboard, the boat combines offshore capability with shallow-water performance, drawing just 15 inches with the engine trimmed up. The fiberglass hull uses Advanced Carbon Fiber Technology laminate and closed-cell foam flotation for durability and stability.
The layout centers on a spacious helm with a Garmin 1243XSV multifunction display and power-assisted tilt steering. Forward seating includes a removable table, with a foldaway transom bench. Storage runs throughout the boat—under-gunnel rod lockers, ten stainless rod holders on the gunnels, a 30-gallon insulated baitwell aft, and a 10-gallon bow well serve anglers. A fiberglass hardtop with integrated rod storage covers much of the deck, backed by a raw water washdown and transom shower with pressurized water.
Standard features include a 45-quart Yeti cooler, underwater LED lighting, a white rubrail, and Seadek flooring at the helm. The boat carries 70 gallons of fuel and 15 gallons of fresh water. A Powerpole 10-foot blade and a porta-potti with pump-out deck fittings are installed.
The 242 HB is trimmed in Carolina Blue and Arctic Ice gelcoat, with white hardtop framing and UltraFabrics upholstery. A battery charger with deck plug and all standard rigging complete the package.
