2026 Blackfin 242 HB
About This Yacht
The Blackfin 242HB is a new hybrid bay boat built on advanced fiberglass hull construction with closed-mold technology. Measuring 24 feet with an 8-foot beam, it combines offshore performance with shallow-water capability through an ACT hull laminate and high-density foam floatation. The design prioritizes a smooth, stable ride in varied conditions—from coastal waters and flats to open ocean.
The cockpit is purpose-built for fishing and family use. Twin insulated baitwells (30 gallons each port and starboard aft, plus a 10-gallon bow well) support serious anglers, while a 45-quart Yeti cooler and eight stainless drink holders accommodate longer outings. A raw-water washdown faucet, in-floor storage, and a fiberglass self-bailing cockpit liner with non-skid finish round out the working space. Seating spans a forward-facing console seat, helm seats with flip-up bolsters and armrests, removable bow backrests with cushions, and a foldaway transom bench.
Navigation and control are handled through a Garmin 1243XSV multifunction display with integrated digital switching and engine monitoring, compass, and power-assisted tilt steering. The electrical system includes dual battery trays, a battery switch with voltage sensing, and individual circuit protection throughout. Fuel systems feature double-clamped lines and a water-separating filter. Trim tabs with auto-retract capability aid handling across sea states.
Construction details include a vinylester barrier coat, stainless steel hardware (rub rail insert, bow and stern eyes with backing plates, six 8-inch pull-up cleats), and a heavy-duty black rub rail. Seadek visor at the helm, blue and white LED courtesy lighting, and closed cell foam floatation complete the package.
