2026 Boston Whaler 280 Dauntless

The 280 Dauntless is the largest model in Boston Whaler's center-console lineup, built on a fiberglass hull measuring 27.75 feet long with a 9-foot beam. It comes powered by dual 250-horsepower Mercury Fourstroke V8 engines fitted with joystick piloting for responsive helm control. The boat features an Abaco blue gelcoat hull paired with an Abaco blue hardtop underside, chrome graphics, black canvas, and white frame, creating a refined appearance suited for serious fishing and cruising.

The helm includes a deluxe leaning post with a 30-gallon insulated livewell, flip-up thigh rise, fold-down armrests, cup holders, stainless-steel grab rails, and integrated rod storage. A combo helm seat covers the console for protection. The forward cabin features a spacious lounge that conceals a large storage garage for dive tanks, buckets, and rods. Additional fishing amenities include a pump-out forward fishbox and transom-mounted livewell, plus abundant rod storage throughout.

Electronics and navigation are comprehensive. The boat carries a Simrad 12-inch NSX multifunction display with GPS, chart plotter, and fishfinder; Active Imaging 3-in-1 transom transducer; a Simrad Halo24 radar dome; VHF radio; and a 1-kilowatt thru-hull transducer. A premium audio package includes two JL Audio 8-inch subwoofers and a 400-watt amplifier. Additional equipment encompasses an anchor windlass with through-hull anchoring system and stainless-steel anchor, battery charging system, raw water washdown, sunshade, storage garage cover, white rubrail with stainless-steel insert, and digital switching technology for remote lighting and electronics control.
