The Caymas 281 HB is a 28-foot composite sportfish powered by twin Mercury V8 cold-fusion 300-horsepower engines paired with a sport trail trailer. The boat combines a practical fishing platform with well-appointed electronics and systems for serious anglers.
The layout includes a custom second helm station finished in white with its own hard top, binnacle, tilt steering wheel, engine gauges, and switch panel. The main cabin features a marine porcelain head with blackwater tank, a 16-gallon freshwater system with pump and outlets, and a house battery setup with dual-bank charger and voltage-sensitive relay. Twin livewells are plumbed on port and starboard sides, complemented by a cooler slide and leaning post with drawer and cutting board.
Navigation and entertainment are handled by a Garmin GPSMAP 8616xsv at the helm with room for an additional multifunction display, a Garmin GPSMAP 743 at the second station, and a Garmin 315 VHF radio with 4-foot fiberglass antenna. A JL Audio package includes an MM100 head unit, six 6.5-inch M6 speakers, two 8.8-inch M6 speakers, and integrated amplifier. Battery charging for trolling motor and house systems is supplied by dual Minn Kota chargers. Additional upgrades include GEMLUX screwless rod holders and a quick-release mount system for the second station.
