The 2026 Chittum Skiffs 18 Challenger 2.0 is a dedicated shallow-water flats boat built entirely from carbon fiber. At 18 feet with a 6-foot-8-inch beam and just 2 degrees of deadrise, it's engineered for skinny water. Power comes from a Tohatsu four-stroke 60 hp outboard paired with a 21-gallon fuel tank. Steering is handled by Seastar hydraulic steering with an Edson black wheel, and an Electrotab membrane trim tab system with 18-inch carbon tabs manages running attitude.
The open layout centers on a side console and includes a step-on poling platform with a lean bar at the bow for sight-fishing. Ten rod racks—five on each side—face forward with rod tubes, plus two additional tubes running aft on the port side. A sliding tackle tray fits in the aft hatch. Additional features include an open water anchor system, sound deadening system, a Rule 1500 GPH bilge pump, and a Simrad 7-inch GPS with P319 transducer and auxiliary antenna.
The cabin and deck scheme is finished in Gray Ghost with matching console and non-skid surfaces. Gray Seadek with black trim covers the cockpit deck and platforms, while black Seadek runs the under-gunnels. Under-gunnel and deck courtesy lights are integrated. Both the rear seat and front silver cushions upgrade the seating, and push pole holders are mounted for easy access. The boat comes on a Ramlin C-channel aluminum trailer with a swing tongue upgrade, aluminum wheels, and black Raptor coating.
