2026 Chris White Spindrift 42 Sportfish
About This Yacht
The Spindrift 42 is a catamaran sportfisher built for serious offshore fishing and family cruising alike. Twin Mercury Verado 400 hp outboards power the narrow, widely separated hulls, which are supported by a Hysucat hydrofoil between them. This foil design increases speed and range by 25 percent while reducing vertical accelerations for a smoother ride in rough water, and the dual-hull configuration minimizes slamming motion.
Construction uses foam-core composite with epoxy resin infusion under vacuum, paired with carbon fiber skins on the deckhouse and flybridge to keep weight aloft minimal. The 42-foot center console layout offers full walk-around deck access typical of sportfishing boats, but the 15-foot-9-inch beam allows a surprisingly spacious interior. The protected steering station, large settee with table, refrigeration, sink, and storage are complemented by an enclosed head and separate sleeping berth—comfort standards rarely found in a center console.
A flybridge with full steering and navigation controls is available as an option.
