The 2026 Contender 26 Bay is a new fiberglass bay boat built for serious fishing. Powered by a single Yamaha 300 hp V6 engine, it draws just 12 inches and carries 100 gallons of fuel, making it equally at home in shallow backcountry waters and deeper nearshore grounds. A trailer is included.
The layout prioritizes working space and storage. The forward section features a 70-gallon insulated fishbox, a 125-gallon dry storage compartment with molded bucket holders, and three additional dry storage areas beneath the forward seating—the port and starboard sides serve as rod lockers. An anchor locker with molded storage sits in the bow. The cockpit includes a curved fixed-back aluminum leaning post fitted with four rod holders, two cup holders, a tray, folding footrest, and cooler base. Two fold-up jump seats occupy the transom.
Fishing amenities span the boat. A 40-gallon livewell and 12-gallon baitwell keep bait and catch fresh. Four under-gunnel rod racks provide additional rod storage. The forward seating is cushioned with a cockpit coaming bolster, and a removable fiberglass cooler serves as the console front seat. A heavy-duty jack plate and oversized bilge access round out the specifications. The design reflects Contender's reputation for a smooth running surface combined with the durability and reliability expected of the brand.
